This app works only when you are not jailbroken.

Cant even play the game! All I get is a damn white screen! Cant believe I spent $5 on this crap! Sure hope they fix this bug soon!

This doesnt get passed the screen that says taito. Do not buy until its updated.

Cant play because theres just a white screen (with tantalizing audio) at startup. The "ARKANOID Support" link in the iTunes store takes you to a page in Japanese, so I guess were out of luck. Very disappointing! :-( FWIW, iPod Touch 4th gen, not jailbroken UPDATE: Well, I opened some other apps and came back to Arkanoid. Works now. I guess that white screen was the OpenFeint info screen. Ugh. Great game, points off for the dreadful initial experience.

plain white screen to start, but works fine now. one star off for disappointing start to my old time favorite game.

I read in the above "requirements" that it supports iPad, I purchase, it doesnt... WTH?

Perfect for those who remember the original game. Simply put, this is "Breakout on Steroids". Im using iOS 4.1 in the iPod Touch 4G and I havent been getting the white screen of death or crashing that others have described. The only problem I have, and it is not the fault of the app, is that the touch interface can get difficult to use if your fingertips get a little sweaty. The moisture increases the drag and can make you miss the ball. I find myself rotating between my index and middle fingers to allow them to air dry.

Great app, but when I try to change the music in the "My Music" part, it crashes and shuts me out of the app. I like this games music but I like my music better.

Support at taito prompt and helpful. The White Screen will go away and the game will start properly if you restate the touch. Make sure your op system is up to date.

It should let u play whatever songs u want instead of setting them up in option

This game brings back memories of the good old days as a kid in the arcade... Its like the original.

Little to no updates while infinity gene gets gamecenter and retina! PLEASE ADD GAMECENTER AND RETINA DISPLAY TO ALL YOUR GAMES!!! at the very least GAMECENTER!! [i love you taito]

I couldnt figure it out either, redownloaded three times!!! Almost gave up hope, support page is in japanese; but theres a button at the top to make it in english. When i restarted my 3rd gen i-pod touch, works like the good old days!

Downloaded to find a white screen and music playing. Unable to play game. Download at your own risk. Dont recommend it.

Prepare to lose valuable time. Ive been searching for a platform to play arkanoid for 15 years. Now, at long last... Twitchy controls. Still a blast from the past.

White screen and nothing else for 5 dollars. Do not download or you will be disappointed

Update: Restarting the phone solved the problem for me. Now the game works very nicely. Previous review: On my iPhone 3GS this app just displays a white screen on startup, and never moves on from that. I see other reviews stating the same thing. Dont buy this if you have a 3GS.

I never knew Taito was the genius behind so many legendary classics like this and Space Invaders!
